Vitalik: The Decentralization Renaissance is Coming, It's Time to Build

Odaily News Vitalik posted on the X platform, stating that the vision for Web3 in 2014 was to build a permissionless, decentralized application ecosystem. Although this vision was once overshadowed by various "meta" and "narratives," its core technologies are becoming increasingly powerful. Ethereum has now implemented PoS and is scaling, with ZK-EVMs and PeerDAS effectively realizing the "sharding" vision. The data layer protocol Whisper has evolved into Waku and supports applications like Status. IPFS excels in decentralized file retrieval.

Vitalik believes that all prerequisites for Web3's original vision are now in place, and it's time to build for decentralization. He cited Fileverse as an example, calling it a model of the right approach, as the application utilizes Ethereum and Gnosis Chain to handle names and accounts. He concluded by saying that the decentralization renaissance is coming.
