UK Regulatory Authority May Open Cryptocurrency License Application Channel by September This Year

Odaily News: The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has hinted that it will open the cryptocurrency license application channel by September 2026. It is reported that cryptocurrency companies operating in the UK or marketing to the UK need to apply for authorization or modify their licenses from the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in accordance with the Financial Services and Markets Act. The regulator stated that companies that miss the approval deadline will enter a transitional period, allowing them to fulfill existing contracts but prohibiting the launch of new regulated cryptocurrency products.
