Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Announces Successful Pilot of Digital Yuan Cross-Border Digital Payment Platform Business

Odaily News Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) announced via its official WeChat public account that it has successfully conducted a pilot of its digital yuan cross-border digital payment platform business. Specifically, ICBC Singapore Branch actively implemented the 2025 China-Singapore Joint Council for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) initiative for an innovative pilot of overseas top-up for individual digital yuan wallets. Furthermore, ICBC Vientiane Branch and ICBC Shandong Branch successfully processed the first cross-border digital yuan remittance transaction for international trade between China and Laos.
