GateToken (GT) 2025 Q4 On-Chain Burn Completed, Cumulative Burn Value Exceeds $1.9 Billion

According to an official announcement, the on-chain burn for GateToken (GT) in the fourth quarter of 2025 has been officially completed. A total of 2,163,900.48229 GT tokens were transferred to the burn address this time, with a burn value exceeding $26.92 million.

Since the launch of the GateChain mainnet in 2019, GT has consistently implemented a continuous burn mechanism. To date, a cumulative total of 184,819,426 GT tokens have been burned, with a total burn value exceeding $1.9 billion (calculated at current prices). The total token supply has been reduced by approximately 61.61% from the initial 300 million.

With the launch of Gate Layer and the gradual implementation of native applications such as Gate Perp DEX, Gate Fun, and Meme Go, the usage frequency of GT—the sole Gas token for Gate Layer—in scenarios like transactions, interactions, and governance continues to increase, driving steady growth in on-chain demand. Gate will continue to execute a long-term, stable GT burn mechanism, advancing the deflationary process under compliant conditions to create a tighter positive feedback loop between the token economic model, real usage demand, and ecosystem expansion.
