Metis Unveils 2026 Strategy: Focus on Deep Integration of AI and High-Performance Blockchain

Odaily News Metis decentralized coordinator Natalia Ameline today released a community letter outlining the project's core strategic direction for 2026. The letter emphasizes that as the market shifts from speculation-driven to real-world application-driven, Metis will focus on advancing the deep integration of AI and high-performance blockchain.

It is reported that Metis has built a unified stack including the settlement layer Andromeda, the high-performance layer Hyperion, and the application data layer LazAI. Among them, Andromeda offers transaction fees of approximately $0.01 and confirmation times of less than two seconds, while Hyperion enhances transaction processing capacity by over 50% through parallel execution. The METIS token has now become the native Gas token for LazAI, achieving a single-token economy across the entire ecosystem.

At the application level, CreateAI minted 20,000 artworks within three hours, and the whitelist event for the AI companion DAT Lazbubu attracted over 90,000 participants. The payment product GMPayer has already enabled autonomous transactions by AI agents.
