Morph Launches $150 Million Payment Accelerator Program to Support Scaling of Real Payment Systems On-Chain

2026-01-07 13:10

Odaily News: Morph has announced the launch of its Payment Accelerator, a program with a scale of $150 million. It aims to support payment companies, financial institutions, and payment infrastructure teams in bringing their already operational, production-grade payment activities on-chain and further achieving scaled expansion.

Morph stated that payments have become one of the fastest-growing and most practical application scenarios for blockchain adoption. However, in scenarios such as cross-border settlements and fund clearing, existing payment infrastructures still face issues like long settlement cycles, fragmented systems, and liquidity occupation. The Payment Accelerator will focus on supporting verticals within the payment network such as crypto cards, cross-border remittances, and payment gateways. It will provide participating teams with settlement infrastructure designed for real transaction volumes, incentives tied to verifiable on-chain activities, as well as funding and liquidity support for launch and scaling.

Morph indicated that within the Morph network, BGB is used as both the Gas and governance token. The growth in payment volume will remain aligned with the network's settlement and participation mechanisms. Currently, Morph has initiated collaborations with its first batch of payment operators and has officially opened applications for the Payment Accelerator.
