Odaily News Neks posted on platform X stating that the official NFT Paris account announced the cancellation of the event originally scheduled for 2026, citing depleted funds due to organizational costs exceeding sponsorship and ticket revenue. NFT Paris promised to refund ticket purchasers within two weeks but refused to refund sponsors.
Sponsors serc1n (@serc1n) and OKB founder kaisisokay (@kaisisokay) confirmed receiving related emails, which stated that according to Clause 12 of the agreement, non-refundable fees already exceeded the total sponsorship fees received, making refunds impossible. NFT Paris 2026 listed a total of 61 sponsors, with sponsorship package prices ranging from 5,000 euros to over 30,000 euros. According to estimates, the total amount paid by sponsors exceeds 500,000 euros. Furthermore, the core team responsible for operating NFT Paris for three years had left shortly before the incident occurred.
