Odaily News According to a post by U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis on platform X on January 6th, she has raised questions regarding the legality of the U.S. government's continued disposal of Bitcoin assets. She stated that Donald Trump has explicitly directed that the government-held Bitcoin should be retained and used to establish a U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve (SBR), rather than continuing to be sold. Against the backdrop of other countries persistently increasing their Bitcoin holdings, Lummis expressed being "deeply concerned" that if the U.S. continues to offload these assets, it will weaken its strategic position.
