A total of 8.7 million smart contracts were deployed in the fourth quarter of 2025, marking the highest quarterly figure on record. Developers are focusing on building rather than speculating. More contracts signify more DApps, RWAs, stablecoins, and infrastructure, with related activities accelerating into 2026. Ethereum's role as the core execution and settlement layer continues to strengthen.
