Aave Labs Proposes to Distribute Non-Protocol Revenue to Token Holders and Will Submit Governance Proposal Regarding IP and Brand Structure

Odaily News Aave Labs stated that, in light of recent community discussions, the team plans to propose specific mechanisms in an upcoming governance proposal to share revenue generated outside the protocol with AAVE token holders. This aims to enhance the long-term alignment between application-layer products and the protocol and its token.

Aave Labs pointed out that applications built on Aave that charge their own fees do not weaken the protocol's profitability; instead, they help expand protocol usage and overall revenue. The related proposal will also cover the structure for brand and intellectual property (IP) usage and establish sufficient DAO governance safeguards to protect the interests of the Aave DAO and token holders.

The team emphasized that its goal is to promote the joint growth of the Aave protocol and the AAVE token. The specific implementation plan will be detailed in the relevant governance proposal, which will be released soon.
