Grayscale Submits Preliminary Application for Bittensor Trust ETF to U.S. SEC, Ticker GTAO

Odaily News According to a report by Crowdfundinsider, Grayscale Investments has submitted a preliminary registration statement to the U.S. SEC for a proposed exchange-traded product focused on Bittensor. The trust, with the ticker GTAO, aims to provide investors with an opportunity to gain direct exposure to Bittensor's native token, TAO, through a regulated channel.

The S-1 filing submitted on December 30, 2025, marks the initial step in converting the existing Grayscale Bittensor Trust into a spot ETF. If approved, GTAO would become the first TAO-focused ETP listed in the United States, offering retail and institutional investors access to the investment opportunity without the need to directly hold the underlying crypto token.
