DeBot announced it will fully compensate for the $250,000 loss caused by the data breach at its Japanese data center.

2025-12-30 12:22

According to Odaily Planet Daily, the DeBot team released a security incident report on the X platform stating that a data center expansion and migration operation conducted on December 9, 2025, resulted in the leakage of wallet information for some users in the Japanese data center. On December 27, 2025, hackers used this leaked data to compromise and transfer assets, causing a total loss of $250,000.

According to DeBot's monitoring, this incident only affects wallets created or imported before December 10, 2025; addresses created after this date are unaffected. The DeBot team has promised 100% compensation to all affected users and has launched an official compensation registration page. After submitting an application, users will complete the review within 72 hours and the compensation will be directly deposited into the user's secure wallet address. The team also reminds users to transfer their assets in risky wallets that have not yet been stolen as soon as possible. The platform will not be liable for any further losses incurred from continuing to use affected wallets.
