2025-12-22 00:36

According to Odaily Planet Daily, the People's Bank of China (PBOC) has issued a notice to support individuals with damaged credit in rebuilding their credit history, implementing a one-time credit repair policy. For overdue personal debts of no more than 10,000 RMB in a single transaction, incurred between January 1, 2020, and December 31, 2025, individuals who fully repay their overdue debts by March 31, 2026, will not have their information displayed in the financial credit information database. Specifically, debts repaid before November 30, 2025, will be removed from display starting January 1, 2026; debts repaid between December 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026, will be removed by the end of the following month. This process will be handled by the PBOC Credit Reference Center and requires no application from the individual. Furthermore, individuals will receive two additional free credit inquiries during the first half of 2026.
