A 3 million yuan cryptocurrency telecom fraud case in Yueqing, Zhejiang Province, has been solved, and all funds have been recovered.
According to the official WeChat account of the Criminal Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, the Yueqing Public Security Bureau in Zhejiang Province has cracked a case of cryptocurrency telecommunications fraud. The suspect induced the victim to invest 3 million yuan in cryptocurrency, claiming that "the amount is large and requires offline transactions" to have the victim hand over the money to a so-called "acceptor." The suspect even instructed the victim in advance on how to answer police questions. In reality, the so-called cryptocurrency platform was completely fake, and the account could not be withdrawn at all. It is reported that the 3 million yuan in cash has been recovered, and two suspects have been placed under criminal coercive measures. The case is under further investigation.
