Uniswap founder: The Uniswap Unification proposal has been submitted to the final governance vote, and 100 million UNI tokens will be destroyed.

Odaily Planet Daily reports that Uniswap founder Hayden Adams announced on the X platform that the Uniswap Unification proposal has been submitted to a final governance vote. Voting will begin at 10:30 PM ET on December 19th and end on December 25th. If the proposal passes, after a two-day timelock period:

1. 100 million UNI tokens will be destroyed.

2. The v2 and v3 fee switches will be enabled on the mainnet and will begin destroying UNI, along with Unichain fees.

Uniswap Labs will align with Uniswap governance through a contractual agreement that is legally binding in Wyoming under its DUNA laws.
