Vitalik: The Ethereum Foundation has made a breakthrough in its investment at the network layer, with PeerDAS becoming a "heroic" achievement.

According to Odaily Planet Daily, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated in an article that he had repeatedly pointed out in the past that the Ethereum Foundation had underinvested in the P2P network layer, prioritizing cryptoeconomics, BFT consensus, and block layer optimization while treating the network layer as a "take-for-granted" infrastructure. However, the performance of PeerDAS has significantly changed this impression.

Vitalik stated that foundation members, including @raulvk, made "heroic contributions" to the implementation of PeerDAS and the planning of a roadmap for simultaneous improvements in faster message delivery, stronger resilience, and online privacy, and expressed his anticipation for future improvements.
