SlowMist Cosine: A user's private key was allegedly leaked due to a computer virus infection, resulting in the theft of $27 million in crypto assets.

2025-12-05 14:06

Odaily Planet Daily reports that SlowMist's Yu Xian posted on the X platform that user Babur suffered a $27 million theft of cryptocurrency assets. Analysis indicates the stolen assets primarily involved two addresses: Solana address 91xu and Ethereum Safe multisignature address 0xD2, with the two largest thefts exceeding $18 million in total value. The hacker addresses are 71fM (Solana) and 0x4f (Ethereum), and some funds have already been transferred to the Ethereum network. The incident is suspected to have been caused by a computer virus infection; the user's private keys were leaked after double-clicking a malicious file, including the two Safe multisignature private keys, which may have been stored on the infected computer.
