Kalshi becomes CNN's official prediction market partner; its data will be used for real-time display in news programming.

Odaily Planet Daily reports that prediction market platform Kalshi has announced its official prediction market partnership with CNN. Its real-time probability data will be integrated into CNN's news programming, with Chief Data Analyst Harry Enten leading the integration. CNN will gain real-time data support from Kalshi on the probability of future events in politics, culture, and other areas, and will enable real-time news feeds based on Kalshi data in relevant sections.

Kalshi stated that his platform has become an important tool for politicians, media organizations, and financial markets to observe future events. Previously, competitor Polymarket also stated on CBS's "60 Minutes" that prediction markets are "the most accurate prediction tool currently available to humankind." The combined trading volume of the two platforms has exceeded $45 billion, and institutions such as Google Finance, Yahoo Finance, Robinhood, and ICE have partnered with prediction market platforms.

Despite rising mainstream acceptance, the prediction market industry still faces regulatory controversies. Kalshi recently faced a nationwide class-action lawsuit, accused of providing sports betting services without a license and misleading consumers. (The Block)
