Amundi launches tokenized euro money market fund on Ethereum
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Amundi, Europe's largest asset manager, has launched its first tokenized share class for euro money market funds.
The fund is now offered in a hybrid structure, allowing investors to choose between a traditional version and a new blockchain-based version. The first transaction was recorded on the Ethereum network on November 4.
This product launch was accomplished in partnership with the European asset services group CACEIS, which provided the tokenization infrastructure, investor wallets, and a digital order system for processing subscriptions and redemptions.
According to the two companies, tokenizing the fund will streamline order processing, expand access to new investors, and enable 24/7 trading. (Cointelegraph)
