Bitget's legal team has won multiple annual awards from ALB and LexisNexis.

According to Odaily, Bitget's General Counsel Phil Leung was named "Young Lawyer of the Year" at the 2025 Thomson Reuters Asia Legal Business (ALB) Hong Kong Legal Awards. Meanwhile, Bitget's legal team was shortlisted for "Fintech Team of the Year," and Chief Legal Officer Hon Ng was also a finalist for "Lawyer of the Year." The awards were judged by over 400 professionals from international law firms, financial institutions, and corporate legal departments.

Prior to this, Bitget's legal team had been nominated and featured in the LexisNexis® ELITE Award 2025. This honor recognizes Bitget's business growth, global compliance progress, and transaction volume expansion during 2024-2025, and documents its industry performance of serving over 120 million users and generating over $1 trillion in annual transaction volume.

Bitget's Legal, Compliance, and Internal Controls department was officially established in 2024 under the leadership of Chief Legal Officer Hon Ng. The team has since rapidly expanded to over 70 professionals across multiple jurisdictions.
