Odaily Planet Daily reports that Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and decentralized AI infrastructure company Zero Gravity (0G) have announced a joint investment of S$5 million to establish a decentralized AI technology research center. The center aims to promote blockchain-based artificial intelligence innovation and create more transparent, secure, and verifiable AI systems.
This marks 0G's first collaboration with global universities, focusing on research areas including decentralized AI training, blockchain-integrated model alignment, and Proof-of-Use-Work (PoUW) consensus mechanisms. The research center will support developers, institutions, and the community in participating in verification and auditing through an open ecosystem, driving AI towards openness and transparency.
This four-year project encompasses workshops, hackathons, student scholarships, and open-source projects, with initial proof-of-concept results expected within two years, applicable to fields such as finance, healthcare, and smart infrastructure. Previously, 0G secured over $325 million in funding commitments, including a $40 million seed round led by Hack VC. (chainwire)
