According to the U.S. Congress website, California Representative Ro Khanna introduced a resolution, H.Res.849, on October 31, calling for a ban on public officials obtaining personal benefits through cryptocurrency-related businesses and promoting the establishment of regulatory mechanisms to prevent conflicts of interest and foreign influence.
The resolution has been submitted to the House Financial Services Committee, the Government Oversight and Reform Committee, the House Administration Committee, and the Judiciary Committee for consideration. The document states that greater transparency and regulation of politicians' digital asset activities are needed to ensure the fairness of policymaking and public trust.
