Cai Wensheng: The AI-Web3 Startup Center is full; he calls for joint efforts to create a better innovation environment.
2025-11-04 12:05

According to Odaily Planet Daily, at Hong Kong Fintech Week 2025, Meitu founder Cai Wensheng stated that the company previously invested HK$650 million to purchase an entire commercial building in Tin Hau and develop it into an AI-Web3 startup center, aiming to provide a concentrated space for startups to develop. The building is located in the city center with convenient transportation and is currently fully occupied by AI and Web3 related companies. Cai Wensheng expressed his hope that more real estate developers will pay attention to this trend and support Hong Kong's innovation ecosystem.

He pointed out that Hong Kong possesses abundant talent reserves, laying a solid foundation for the incubation of future AI and Web3 startups. He also called on the government to issue more guidelines to support the joint efforts of the private sector and industry to promote industrial development. Cai Wensheng also stated that the current market capitalization of native cryptocurrencies is approximately US$4 trillion, and it is expected to have at least ten times the growth potential over the next decade. Even if it reaches a scale of US$40 trillion, it still has vast room for appreciation compared to traditional assets.
