Odaily Planet Daily reports that Ripio, a Latin American cryptocurrency exchange with over 25 million users, has announced the launch of wARS, a stablecoin pegged to the Argentine peso. The token is already listed on Ethereum, Coinbase's Base, and World Chain. wARS allows users to send and receive funds globally without needing banks or USD conversion. Ripio stated that it plans to launch similar stablecoins for other Latin American currencies in the future to facilitate cross-border payments using local currencies in the region. This launch marks Ripio's second foray into Real-World Assets (RWA) following the launch of tokenized sovereign bonds. (CoinDesk)
