According to Forbes, Synthesia, a UK-based AI video generation company, has completed a new funding round of $200 million, valuing the company at $4 billion. The round was led by Google Ventures, with Nvidia potentially participating. Synthesia had previously raised $280 million, with Nvidia and Adobe among the investors.

Founded in 2017, Synthesia differs from video generation tools like Sora in its focus on helping businesses use AI-generated avatars to create videos for marketing, employee training, and more. Currently, 60,000 businesses are using Synthesia's platform to generate their own avatar videos.
