Odaily Planet Daily reports that Romanian authorities have blacklisted Polymarket for operating without a license. The Romanian National Gambling Authority (ONJN) determined that betting on prediction markets constitutes counterparty betting, not trading. In Romania, the gambling industry is a state monopoly, and operators must apply for and obtain a license from the ONJN to operate. The ONJN director stated in a press release, "The decision to blacklist Polymarket is not related to technology, but to the law." (DL News)
