Central Bank of Ghana: Cryptocurrency regulatory legislation to be finalized by year-end

Odaily Planet Daily reported that Johnson Asiama, Governor of the Central Bank of Ghana, stated at the IMF meeting that the country's cryptocurrency regulatory bill has been submitted to Parliament and is expected to be completed by the end of December this year, enabling Ghana to formally regulate crypto assets.
Asiama pointed out that the central bank had already released a draft regulation as early as August 2024, and currently about 3 million people in the country (nearly 9% of the population) use cryptocurrencies. (Cointelegraph)
