The US September CPI report will be released today, but it may not shake the expectation of interest rate cuts
2025-10-24 00:10

Odaily Planet Daily reports that while today's US September CPI report may show stubbornly persistent inflation, investors may overlook this sign as money markets prepare for a Federal Reserve rate cut next week. Emily, founding partner of Bowersock Capital Partners, believes Friday's CPI is important given the government shutdown, as it's one of the few economic data releases we'll see. "However, since the Fed is likely to focus more on the labor market, we don't expect Friday's CPI to have much of an impact on the Fed's decision next week," she said. "We're likely to see two rate cuts this year, in October and December."
