Bunni, the DEX project that was hacked in early September, announced its closure

Odaily Planet Daily News: Bunni, a DEX project based on Uniswap V4, announced its closure on X.

"The recent exploitation incident has forced Bunni's development to a halt," Bunni said. "A safe reboot would require six to seven figures in audit and monitoring fees alone—an amount we cannot currently afford. Furthermore, restoring Bunni to its pre-exploitation state would require months of development and business development, which we cannot afford. Therefore, we have decided to shut down Bunni."

Bunni also announced that the remaining treasury assets will be distributed to BUNNI, LIT, and veBUNNI holders. The legal process is still underway, and the specific distribution details will be announced after the legal process is finalized. Team members will not participate in this snapshot distribution.

Earlier news reported that Bunni was hacked in early September, resulting in a loss of approximately $2.3 million.
