Trader: The altcoin market has become a pure PVP game, and long-term holding is worthless
2025-10-21 11:31

According to Odaily Planet Daily, trader Hanba Longwang wrote that the crypto market is an "absolutely negative-sum" PVP game, with most altcoins generating no real value and relying solely on external funding for their wealth. He noted that while BTC continues to hit new highs, the upper limit of altcoins continues to decline. From People and ORDI in 2021 to the current Binance Life, the popularity and market capitalization of altcoins have steadily declined. "The fools who believed in altcoins have been wiped out."

He believes that wealth in the cryptocurrency world is constantly shifting between players at different stages, with only the smarter speculators remaining. He emphasizes that long-term holding of altcoins is meaningless, with "limited upside and bottomless downside." The real gains come from speculating on hot spots and "picking up corpses" during black swan events. In his view, the cryptocurrency world is still essentially a casino, with little long-term value outside of mainstream and platform-based coins.
