AC questioned the flow of funds funded by the Ethereum Foundation, saying that it did not receive any support when Ethereum was developed.
Odaily Planet Daily News: Sonic co-founder Andre Cronje (AC) forwarded an article on X by Polygon founder and CEO Sandeep Nailwal questioning the Ethereum Foundation and said: "I really don't understand. Who is the Ethereum Foundation (EF) funding/supporting? When I was developing on Ethereum, I burned more than 700 ETH just for deployment and infrastructure. I tried to contact EF, but never received a reply, no business connection, no funding, zero support, not even a forwarding. Since the Ethereum Foundation supports neither core developers (such as Péter Szilágyi and the Geth team) nor the most supportive Layer 2 supporters (such as Sandeep and Polygon), where do these resources go?"
Earlier, Ethereum core developer and main maintainer of the Geth client, Péter Szilágyi, publicly criticized the Ethereum Foundation (EF)'s internal compensation system and governance structure, expressing his "deep disappointment with the EF." Sandeep Nailwal retweeted the relevant news today and expressed similar doubts.
