Odaily Planet Daily reported that Jay Chou's friend, magician Cai Weize, was entrusted to manage and invest hundreds of millions of yuan in Bitcoin on his behalf. A year ago, he claimed that his account was locked and has disappeared since then. The assets have not been returned to him to date.

Jay Chou recently posted on a social media platform to look for someone, saying: "If anyone has seen this magician who can make himself disappear, please notify me. Do you think I'm not a magician? If you don't show up, you're done." He then unfollowed Cai Weize.

Sources familiar with the matter revealed that Cai Weize was once active in the blockchain investment community, dabbling in the catering and cryptocurrencies sectors. He repeatedly leveraged his connections with Jay Chou to solicit investment, and was even rumored to have had his girlfriend embezzle company funds for crypto trading. He also claimed to have acquainted himself with members of Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern royalty, helping them invest and taking commissions. Cai Weize was one of Jay Chou's touring partners, but his whereabouts are currently unknown, and his agency, JVR, has yet to respond.
