According to Odaily Planet Daily, US Vice President Cyril Vance stated that Russia and Ukraine are not yet ready to reach an agreement on resolving the conflict. In an interview with Newsmax, Vance stated, "Despite the active diplomatic efforts of the US president, getting to the finish line requires both sides to be willing to reach an agreement. Right now, despite the tremendous work we've done and will continue to do, the Russians and Ukrainians are not in a position where they can reach an agreement."
