BlackRock CEO: Bitcoin is an alternative asset, but it should not account for too high a proportion of the portfolio

Odaily Planet Daily News: BlackRock CEO Larry Fink said in an interview with CBS that he has re-examined Bitcoin and believes that cryptocurrencies, like gold, are alternative assets.

Fink said Bitcoin is "not a bad asset," but it shouldn't be a large part of a portfolio. He previously revealed in his annual letter to investors that about half of the demand for BlackRock's Bitcoin ETF comes from retail investors, 75% of whom have never purchased iShares products before. (Decrypt)
