According to Odaily Planet Daily, the Macau Monetary Authority stated that the "Digital Macau Pataca" has built a prototype system and is expected to complete the first phase of research and development by the end of this year. Analysts pointed out that the digital Macau Pataca platform will inevitably be connected with the mainland platform.
