According to Odaily Planet Daily, IDChat, a Web 3 application that allows data to be fully on-chain, held a press conference today on the Bitcoin mainnet with text and images. All information was imprinted on Bitcoin in real time. Over 2,000 people watched the press conference via the IDChat app.
IDChat doesn't require a mobile phone number or email address to register; users can access directly using their public key, eliminating the risk of data collection and misuse by the platform at the source. Unlike most Web 3 social apps, IDChat's messages and social connections are truly verifiable and stored on-chain, rather than relying on off-chain servers for centralized storage.
All IDChat messages are end-to-end encrypted, and only the communicating parties can decrypt them, preventing any external nodes or development team from snooping. This makes IDChat inherently censorship-resistant, truly safeguarding user privacy and data sovereignty. This application marks the expansion of Bitcoin from a financial ledger to a social application layer.
