According to Odaily Planet Daily, 1confirmation founder Nick Tomaino wrote on the X platform that if Base tokens are issued correctly, they could immediately become a top-five blockchain by market capitalization. He suggested avoiding VC involvement and insider trading, and instead distributing tokens to developers and users through transparent airdrops, with criteria based on actual usage. Tomaino called Base the most successful tokenless blockchain in history, and that airdrops would be a strong driver of its growth.

Previously, the head of the Base protocol said that they were exploring the possibility of issuing tokens.
