OpenAI's GPT-5 trademark applications in China have all been rejected
On August 7th, OpenAI officially launched its next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) model, GPT-5. The company claims it is its "smartest, fastest, and most practical AI model yet," with particular strengths in areas such as answering health queries and rapidly writing computer code.
Tianyancha data shows that OPENAI, INC. has applied to register two "OPENAI GPT-5" trademarks, classified internationally as website services and scientific instruments. Both applications are pending review. Additionally, OPENAI OPCO, LLC has applied to register two "GPT-5" trademarks, classified internationally as website services and scientific instruments. Both applications are pending review. It's worth noting that a Shenzhen technology company previously applied to register two "GPT-5" trademarks, but both applications have been rejected and are invalid. (Sina Finance)
