TRM Labs: Embargo ransomware gang has transferred over $34 million in crypto assets since April

According to Odaily Planet Daily, the ransomware group Embargo has transferred over $34 million in ransom-related crypto assets since April 2024. Targets include US hospitals and critical infrastructure, with the highest single ransom demand reaching $1.3 million. The group, suspected of operating under a different name from BlackCat (ALPHV), currently holds approximately $18.8 million in unused crypto assets, laundering them through high-risk exchanges and sanctioned platforms.
