According to Odaily Planet Daily, monitoring by Ember, Pump.fun transferred 12,000 SOL (approximately $2.16 million) to the PUMP buyback address three hours ago, likely for future buybacks. On July 16th, Pump.fun transferred 187,770 SOL (approximately $30.53 million) from its fee wallet for PUMP buybacks. Currently, 129,100 SOL (approximately $21.5 million) has been used to purchase 3.828 billion PUMPs at an average buyback price of $0.0056. The higher average buyback price is attributed to the majority of purchases occurring on July 16th, when the PUMP price was above $0.006.
Earlier, there was market news that pump.fun will increase the repurchase ratio of PUMP tokens and use 100% of daily income for repurchase.
Furthermore, Dumpster DAO, following this incident, cautioned the community to carefully monitor on-chain data, as pump.fun has only used 100% of its revenue for one day to repurchase tokens. While pump.fun allocated 100% of its revenue for token repurchases in the past few days, not all of it was executed, raising concerns that they are misleading on-chain observers. Furthermore, these tokens have never been destroyed or transferred anywhere, and without any official communication or reliable repurchase system, there is no reason to believe this situation will continue.
