Bank of America: 26% of respondents believe Benson will become the next Fed chairman

Odaily News Bank of America's July global fund manager survey showed that U.S. Treasury Secretary Benson is the most popular candidate to succeed Federal Reserve Chairman Powell. President Trump is expected to nominate a new Federal Reserve Chairman in the second half of 2025, and Powell's term will end in May 2026. The survey showed that 26% of respondents believed that Benson would be the next Federal Reserve Chairman, followed by 17% supporting Walsh, 14% supporting Waller, and 7% believing that Hassett would be elected.
