Odaily News Aptos Labs announced today that co-founder and CEO Avery Ching has been appointed by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to serve on the Digital Asset Markets Subcommittee of the Global Markets Advisory Committee.
The group was founded in 1998 and consists of 36 experts from leading institutions such as Citadel, BlackRock, BNY Mellon, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, and Morgan Stanley. It aims to provide advice to the CFTC on key issues such as digital assets and promote the development of relevant policies and regulations. Avery's joining, coupled with his recent sharing in the US Congress, highlights the increasingly important role of technology builders in regulatory dialogues. Avery has more than ten years of experience in building large-scale infrastructure. Before founding Aptos, he was the technical director of the Meta encryption platform, leading blockchain development, wallet infrastructure, strategy, and the Diem blockchain project. He has a deep industry background and experience.
