Metaplanet raises $515 million through new share offering

Odaily News Metaplanet, a Japanese listed company, announced that it has successfully raised 74.9 billion yen (about 515 million U.S. dollars) in equity funds for the purchase of more Bitcoin by issuing 54 million shares for the first time through the exercise of the 20th stock subscription rights. The issuance accounts for 29% of the company's subscription warrants, and there are about 1.31 million subscription warrants (about 131 million shares) to be exercised. Previously, Metaplanet planned to issue a total of 555 million new shares (accounting for 92% of the outstanding shares) and planned to raise $5.4 billion for Bitcoin acquisitions. (The Block)
