Bitget Wallet becomes the first self-hosted wallet to support national QR code payment
Odaily News Web3 wallet Bitget Wallet officially launched the national QR code payment function, with Vietnam becoming the first supported market. Users can scan VietQR and use USDT to complete payments in street stalls, convenience stores and other scenarios, eliminating the exchange process, with low fees and a smooth experience.
This function is realized through cooperation with licensed payment institution AEON. It has opened up the systems of 55+ banks and payment institutions in Vietnam, supports mainstream public chains such as Ethereum, Tron, Solana, Base, BNB Chain, and will open the automatic exchange function of any token in the future. From June 16 to July 30, the first 10,000 new Vietnamese users who use this function for the first time can enjoy a 50% cashback (up to 2 USDT).
As a self-hosted wallet with a native integrated national QR code payment system, this move is a key step in Bitget Wallet's global PayFi plan. It will be promoted to more countries in the future to promote encrypted payments into daily life.
