AI voice startup Toma completes $17 million Series A funding, led by A16z

Odaily News AI voice startup Toma has completed a $17 million Series A funding round led by A16z. Toma was founded by Monik Pamecha and Anthony Krivonos in early 2024 and previously participated in the YC accelerator program. The companys AI voice agents are currently used in more than 100 car dealerships in the United States to handle service reservations, parts orders, and customer calls, alleviating staffing issues. Toma plans to use the new funds to expand while continuing its subscription model. (TechCrunch)
