UAE SCA launches first 'Finfluencer' license to regulate digital financial content
Odaily News According to an official announcement, the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) of the United Arab Emirates has officially launched the region’s first “Finfluencer” license, which aims to regulate the creation of financial content on digital platforms.
It is reported that the license applies to individuals who provide investment advice related to regulated products or entities through digital or traditional media. Applicants need to register and comply with relevant regulations. To encourage innovation, SCA announced that it will waive registration, renewal and legal consultation fees for this service in the next three years.
HE Waleed Saeed Al Awadhi, CEO of SCA, said that the license is not only a regulatory measure, but also a strategic response to the rapid development of digital finance, aimed at enhancing market integrity, promoting transparency and creating a trusted financial environment.
