Michigan lawmakers introduce four new cryptocurrency-related bills

Odaily News The Michigan House of Representatives has introduced four crypto-related bills, covering retirement fund investments in Bitcoin, opposing the U.S. central bank digital currency (CBDC), and encouraging Bitcoin mining companies to use abandoned oil wells to conduct operations.
Among them, HB 4510 intends to allow state public retirement funds to invest in Bitcoin through regulated exchange-traded products; HB 4511 prohibits state governments from supporting CBDC; HB 4512 and HB 4513 encourage mining companies to conduct mining in environmental restoration sites and provide tax breaks.
