Coinbase to pay $180-400 million to customers over data breach

Odaily News Coinbase disclosed that the previous data breach was caused by some customer service employees being bribed by cyber criminals, and the attackers obtained sensitive information such as users' names, addresses, phone numbers and some social security numbers. Coinbase said it expects to pay $180 million to $400 million in compensation for the incident and promised to compensate affected users.
It is reported that Coinbase has offered a reward of $20 million for clues leading to the arrest of the attacker. The company has fired the employees involved and will file criminal charges against them. (CoinDesk)
