Odaily News Cryptocurrency supporter Paul Atkins has been officially sworn in as chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Crypto industry insiders expect that the cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund (ETF) landscape is about to undergo major changes, as Paul Atkins will handle matters related to the implementation of crypto ETFs. It is reported that the crypto ETF-related matters that Paul Atkins is responsible for include:
1) Physical creation and redemption of spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs;
2) Pledge spot Ethereum ETF;
3) Dozens of cryptocurrency-related ETF applications have been approved. (Coinstats)
Earlier news, Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas said that this year there will be more than 70 crypto ETFs waiting for SEC review, covering a variety of assets such as XRP, LTC, SOL, Dogecoin and crypto derivatives.
