Manta founder reveals Lazarus hacker group uses real face videos to carry out Zoom phishing attacks

Odaily News Kenny Li, co-founder of Manta Network, recently disclosed that he had encountered a highly sophisticated Zoom phishing attack. The other party was suspected to be the North Korean state-backed hacker group Lazarus, which used "extremely deceptive" real-life images in an attempt to trick him into downloading malicious script files.
Kenny Li said that the other party simulated a familiar team member in the Zoom meeting, the camera was on but there was no sound, and prompted him that "Zoom needs to be updated" and asked him to download a script file. Li immediately terminated the meeting after being alerted and asked to verify his identity through Telegram. As a result, the other party subsequently deleted all chat records and blocked him.
